The Fond du Lac Red Cross provides many services to the people who live within Fond du Lac County.
In 2007 it was busy…..
Disaster Services
• Provided assistance to 19 Fond du Lac County families affected by the disastrous effects of house fires.• Gave out $8,676 in financial assistance to local individuals after disasters (all disaster assistance is a free to those who qualify).
• Deployed 5 FDL area volunteers that assisted with tornadoes, flooding and winter storms in Kansas, fires in California, and flooding in Minnesota.
• Presented disaster preparedness lectures to over 1,000 individuals in the Fond du Lac County Community (presentations given to schools, businesses, libraries, senior groups).
Health & Safety Services
• Trained 3,360 members of the community in CPR and First Aid skills.
• Allowed 2,005 children learned how to swim safely through
Red Cross Water Safety Courses.• Taught 242 youth how to be responsible child caregivers through
Red Cross Babysitter trainings.Blood Services
• Have held 54 blood drives in the Fond du Lac County community.
• Collected 2,767 total units of blood.
Military Services
• Have facilitated communication of messages about important events to 41 armed forces members.
